Our guest services team is a diverse group of departments that make up the non-spooky experience of our business in the fall. They create memories to last a lifetime while guests enjoy their visit – daytime or night time!
We love that we are home to many of our youth’s first ever jobs. From the east end of Ottawa all the way to Carleton Place, our team members travel far and wide to be part of the safe and fun space we’ve created here at Saunders Farm.
We care deeply about our team and strive on being a home away from home, as well as a safe and supportive space for our staff to learn more about themselves and their skills. We provide an opportunity for staff to develop their employment skills as they grow into leaders in the community and beyond.

These people are passionate about feeding the crowd! These team members must maintain exceptional levels of cleanliness, show diligence and initiative and must be detail-oriented. This is a fast-paced environment and employees are expected to be on their feet for an extended period of time. POS experience is not required, though preferred.
Our a-MAZE-ing candy makers! These folks create our beautiful gourmet candy apples, fudge, cotton candy and more! This position is typically behind the scenes BUT on Peak Nights, selected staff will be asked to “Hawk” and sell our candy on the go to customers around the farm! This team is expected to be on their feet for a long time, be quick but detail oriented and some members will require previous cash experience.
Operations is in charge of keeping the farm beautiful! These team members maintain the grounds, clean up any messes and some are selected to be our FUN parking attendants. They will be expected to be on their feet for an extended period of time, be mobile and detail oriented. Operation team members are expected to maintain a positive and energetic attitude. They are VERY important to our Guest Experience!
Attractions run our a-MAZE-ing activities on the farm! This includes our jumping pillows, gem mine, pedal carts, mazes, the AG Arcade and more. These team members are expected to be on their feet for an extended period of time and must maintain a positive, energetic and engaging attitude.Some positions will require a cash, therefore POS experience is not required but preferred. Attractions Team is a huge part of how we PLAY with our guests!
These are the FIRST folks that our guests meet on the farm! This department includes running our Admission booth (cash experience required and must be over 18) as well as our Greeters! Greeters are required to stay on their feet for prolonged periods of time and maintain an energetic, positive and engaging attitude and must be responsible. Admissions team must be responsible, positive and quick on their feet.
Birthdays team are in charge of, you guessed it, BIRTHDAYS! These team members must be energetic, positive and engaging with both children and adults. This department does include food service, therefore maintenance of cleanliness is required. These shifts are typically daytime only!
At the Tipsy Tombstone Tavern, we serve a variety of local and refreshing brews and BOOs to our 19+ guests, as well as a variety of snacks and soups! Bar staff must be Smart Serve certified and create a FUN atmosphere for our guests, they are also expected to be on their feet for a long period of time. Bar Witches & Warlocks must maintain cleanliness as well as be diligent and responsible for our guests drinking on our property. This position is for 19+.
This team keeps our farm SAFE! We ask that our First Aid team members must be First Aid Certified with previous experience. They attend to any first aid calls or health-related emergencies. Our Safety Team, whom we affectionately call Night Ops, typically have a background in policing or security. This team works to keep our staff members and other guests safe from unruly guests on the farm. They are those who have the final say if a guest must be removed from the property. Night Ops is a night only position for those 21+.
Our Farm Shop team runs the gift shop filled with various sweet delights, warm drinks and merchandise! Previous cash experience not required but preferred. Some staff will be asked to sell pumpkins just outside the doors as our guests leave the farm. This team is expected to be on their feet for a long period of time, be diligent and energetic! Maintenance of cleanliness required.
Weekdays during Haunting Season we may be closed to the public, but we still invite school groups to play on the farm with us! These groups enjoy a day filled with jumping pillows, an educational show about pumpkins, learning a song about bees, puppet shows, wagon rides and MORE! Team members in Ed Tours must be available Wednesdays-Fridays from approx. 9am-3pm. Staff must be engaging, positive and friendly to both children and adults, bilingual (french and english) extremely preferred.
Wagon drivers must be 19+ and have a full G license, experience with large machinery or driving trailers preferred. Our drivers engage with our guests as they hop aboard the Pumpkin Hayride or Haunted Hayride, day or night. They must dress for all weather and come prepared. Drivers also ensure that safety regulations are being followed by guests while aboard the hayride wagon.
Our talented team of makeup artists are key in making our characters come to life! Previous experience in makeup application on others required. They can apply makeup on up to 20 actors in under 1 hour. Our MUAs must have amazing attention to detail, be efficient and quick in their application and be passionate about sanitization! We provide the makeup and brushes, you provide the skill! Experience in applying prosthetics would be considered an asset. Makeup Shifts are typically 1-2 hours long, there is possibility for an additional role for more hours during the season. We are looking for Makeup Artists this season specifically for The Sawmill at Lansdowne Park. Our Makeup Team at Saunders Farm is currently full.
Front of House
FOHs batch our guests into our Fright Sites, advise them of the rules and control crowds at the beginning of each haunt. It is imperative that FOHs are loud, responsible and care for the safety of our cast! They are in high communication with our safety team, Night Ops, to ensure that any unruly guests are supervised while within the site. They must not leave their station at the beginning of the attraction.
Scare Techs are an integral component to our Fright Sites. They create the scares behind the scenes and typically do not interact closely with guests. Some Techs may be asked to vocalize, but speaking is not required. Some Techs may require physical strength as part of their role. This job may be in an isolated but secure area. Due to the nature of this role, auditions are not required. An interview with our team is necessary.
Join our team at The Zipline at Saunders Farm as we embark on a journey of adventure over our world famous Mazes. This team is ready for sky high fun! This team is encouraging, ready for any weather condition and can stand on their feet for a long time! Must be 18+.

All those interested in joining our cast and working in the Fright Sites must audition for our Production team. Acting experience preferred but not required. We are also in search for street performers, strolling characters and stage show actors – previous experience and advanced acting skills required for more advanced roles.
